Gary Power has been working as a professional artist for over 25 years. During this time his practice has encompassed a range of media and approaches to Fine Art including sculpture, installation, public art, and digital media. Gary is interested in investigating how the materials, and processes associated with contemporary sculpture can be used to investigate ideas in a spirit of personal enquiry and research.

His work shows a commitment to the value of the handmade and the contribution an artists' personal perspective can bring to broader philosophical and social issues. Gary has exhibited his work and completed a number of major Public commissions, particularly in architecture. While working as an artist Gary has taught at the University of Sunderland where he is a senior lecturer.
