This section shows a range of artworks, many of them completed when I was a student at Reading University and Chelsea School of Art. I have included them because they illustrate some of my initial interests, many of which continue to preoccupy me. These include for example: using a tactile and haptic approach to materials and processes; references to fundamental architectural forms such as the pyramid, wall and screen; utilising simple geometric shapes and the relationship between two and three dimensions particularly on the surface of objects. Earlier work is very often more abstract and self referential than the later examples, when I begin to explore the use of metaphor and imagery.
