This section shows selected participatory public art projects, mainly undertaken in the North of England. They often use a combination of traditional and new media techniques to engage with environmental issues in innovative ways.
Examples not shown here include many school and community art residencies, for example, The Sunderland/ Durham Creative Partnerships New Media Project 2004, and an artist’s residency at Cummersdale School, Carlisle, 2003 during Eden Arts Residency Scheme For Schools And Communities, in areas of Cumbria which were most affected by foot and mouth disease.
